super great service, love the experience but it is responsive at first, after 1 hr, things get to slow

Came here to satisfy a shabu shabu craving with some friends and we had a great time!! Service was super friendly and quick which was amazing. The restaurant is clean and we loved how each person could have their own broth bowl as opposed to sharing! The quality of the meat was super delicious and overall the portions were generous and filling for the wagyu combo for 2 people. We each got our own selection of broths and our own veggie/noodle plates and shared the meat. Will definitely come back here!!

STOP!! Do you appreciate good service, good prices, good quality food and great vibes? Then look no further and come to Happy Shabu Shabu. A cute small hot pot spot that provides some of the best quality meat I've had in the city. The service is so friendly and attentive that you will never feel like you're looking for your waitress/waiter to put in your next order, service is honestly out of this world and I can't rave enough about it, specially Jo! She's amazing. We had the spicy Miso broth and it was soooo tasty! I didn't even use the sauces that they provided. The veggies were very fresh and they also give a good amount and 2 different noodles! Their menu isn't the biggest but you don't need it to be because the amount they have is great quality and it makes up for it. Honestly just try it! If your party is over 3 people do call and make a reservation so you're not waiting for a table too long.

We came here to satisfy our hot pot craving. Decided on the $60 Wagyu combo for 2 people (8.5/10). 2 of the meats are more fatty and the other two are lean. We were stuffed by the end of the portions of meat are generous. We ordered: broths- spicy miso (9/10) and spicy tonkatsu (8/10) for $2 more, a side of rice, our total was around $70. We asked for tongs as well which was helpful to make our experience more pleasant, chili oil, and chili flakes. Staff was friendly, helpful, attentive, and charismatic. Highly recommend for the experience. Ambiance is very comfortable and chill. Only issue was seeing a small fly around our table

Comfort food, excellent flavors and super friendly staff. The owner is a sweetheart who always welcomes you with a smile. Love this place.

After some light appetizers up the street, we were super hungry and craving some shabu shabu on a cold winter night. This spot was down the street and didn't have a wait so we decided to give it a try. Happy Shabu Shabu is an AYCE shabu spot that starts at $39 and we upgraded to the premium wagyu meats for an additional $6.95. They have plenty of meat options, and honestly I couldn't tell the difference between most of the cuts flavor wise, but it was all really good. As for the veggies, they had a ton of options as well. Napa cabbage, bok choy, carrots, noodles, enough to make up for my lack of vegetable eating during the week. The sauces were delicious. Whatever their spicy sauce was, I needed refills of that all night. Great to dip your meats in. They even gave us fresh sliced jalapeños that added a nice level of spice to each bite. For drinks we got a pitcher of beer and a large sake. They used to be an AYCE drinking spot but they had to change that up recently. But they made all their beer and sake 50% off which means you can drink a bunch without spending a ton. Jo, who I think was one of the owners helped us out all night and she was amazing and made our night fun. She was very kind and very hospitable. Great vibes all around! Overall, from start to finish, we enjoyed every bit of our dinner and would definitely return when we are craving a meat heavy meal.

If you like hotpot or kbbq, try Happy Shabu Shabu! It's a Japanese cook-it-yourself all you can eat restaurant (they have non AYCE options too). You can order 4 items at a time from a selection of items and pay a couple dollars more for the premium selection. Food: they have lots of different meat options (beef, pork, lamb, shrimp). In my opinion the premium menu is worth it for the Wagyu option which is by far better than the other types of meat. I also suggest having it without the sauce because the flavor and the texture of the meat is best plain The ambiance is great, I've taken friends here multiple times and the decor and lighting feels welcoming and clean. The service is very fast with both robot servers and Jo who always checks in on how the food is going and remembers our faces when we go.

For all you can eat, happy Shabu Shabu is not bad. Of course it's not top top quality items but they are good enough for you to enjoy all you can eat. The owner was super kind and even drank with us - great vibe and atmosphere!
